Introductions

Hi, my name is Dougie and i live in the country on the East coast of Scotland. Just as an introduction i'd like to give my reasons for starting this blog (never blogged before so bear with me folks). I'd like to think that my green credentials are fairly sound but having watched HRH Prince of Wales Dimbelby Lecture on T.V. tonight i reaslise that as a citizen of our planet there is perhaps a lot more that i could be doing.

This blog is not intended as a way of preaching and telling people what my view is on self sustainability, supermarkets, fair trade etc. All i am aiming to do is keep a record of my attempts to live a more 'green' existance, what Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall calls a 'move to the left'.

Over the next few entries i will give you all an overview of where i am just now and you can make your own minds up how green my life is (please feel free to comment) then the real work begins............i am hoping to become a lobbyist, locally initially, for a greener more sustainable lifestyle.

I hope you all enjoy readin about me and my attempted campaign and all comments and suggestions will be welcome.
